PAUL SCHERRER INSTITUT

The Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) is the largest research institute for natural and engineering sciences in Switzerland, conducting cutting-edge research in three main fields: matter and materials, energy and environment and human health. PSI develops, builds and operates unique small and large research facilities used by more than 2,500 scientists per year from Switzerland and around the world to carry out experiments that are not possible elsewhere. One fourth of our staff are apprentices, post-graduates or post-docs. PSI employs 2,000 people, with an annual budget of approximately CHF 370 million primarily financed by the Swiss Confederation.

Role in the project

PSI performs system code analysis of the CWC and SACO experimental tests within WP3 and WP4 of the project. Through comparison with the experimental data, the numerical models can be validated, and modelling techniques improved.
